Its a clean slate.. not watching matches, not reading about them..
Consequentially, nothing to write about the non-Indian matches.
But one point about India's last match - I wonder what was Dhoni trying to prove by making Ravindra Jadeja come into bat AFTER Harbhajan!!! Come on, Dhoni!!! Jadeja is a batsman.. Maybe pressure got to him in the England match. One failure does not mean that you drop him waaaay down the batting order like this.. He is your team mate. No matter what the media writes about Jadeja, you protect him, you be there for him.. Thats why you are the captain. You assign a role and give him a free hand for a specific number of matches - the same that you have done for Sehwag and Yuvraj at the start of your career as captain. You enjoyed their success.
One big failure should not mean that Dhoni has forgotten his man-management skills.
Before this note turns out to be like an open letter to Dhoni, I will move on...
Disappointing that India finished the T20 worldcup with NO wins in the Super8!! The only team in the same boat is Ireland! Frank, as you said, what an absolute leveller!!!
Looking ahead.. Need to see what the team will do in Windies, now that WI have figured out that this Indian team does not like to dance to chin music.. But Nayar, Nehra getting a much delayed call into the team - Yes, thats good. Bhadrinath & Vijay - hmm.. I will reserve my comments for now.
