Suicide

What an awful night it was. It was supposed to be the glory night that catapults DC back to the peak - temporary though. But the self-triggered avalanche completely ransacked them. All they needed were 25 runs off 19 balls with 7 wickets in hand. Instead they made 12 runs of 17 balls and lost all 7 wickets. The domestic crop in DC proved to be just "weed". Not only was the batting display a dampener, equally dumb was the fielding effort. At least, if they are not able to catch high balls the fielders should refrain from converting them into sixers - pathetic sight. It was completely self inflicted and more severe because DD were not as good either. They were also suicidal with their fielding. It was just that DC proved to be more cruel to themselves than DD. And among all this catastrophe, you can also put in positives from Dinesh Karthik, Adam Gilchrist and Andy Symonds. It surely looked like there were 2 matches being played there - a more prominent scrappy game and a less effective batting cracker. But Delhi won both matches.
Rajat Bhatia became an instant hero to everyone's surprise. Everyone else was a villain - Chaminda Vaas the worst of them all.
